Worst flat ever...
So, I went out to get new tires exactly a week ago. I wanted BF Goodrich G-Force Sport 204/55/16 for my stock 5 spoke wheels. No one had them in stock locally, however I was convinced to settle for some all season Yokahama AVID V4's. I paid $635 for the tires, mounted, balanced, and a alignment. Needless to say, after putting roughly 100 miles on them, I had a freakin' blow out today. My front passenger side tires just went flat, the interior sidewall just gave out.
I figure, no big deal, I'll throw the spare on and take it back down to the place I got the tires and get a new one. Go to take the lugs off and they're torqued to 1000000000000 ft/lbs. I actually shattered my lug wrench trying to get them off, shattered it! Call the shop back, they don't have any numbers for a tow truck, so I call a friend for a number. Guy shows up and gives me a tow to the shop... $120.
Whatever, I'll live, just a few more bucks, at least I'm at the shop. So I explain what happened. When I had called them, I asked if they had any of these tires in stock. They said yes, however now they do not. They don't have any tire that will fit on the rim. BS. I don't want mix and matched tires anyway. They said they can order the tires, but it will take a day or two. Whatever. They also are going to charge me $140 for the tire because I didn't buy a warrenty they didn't offfer.
To end this one, I'm getting ripped. I go in to talk to the manager tomorrow. I'm going to bring up how I got a quote for a much cheaper price for the same shit at another place, how the alignment sucked, and how the tires suck. Already said I could exchange them for another set of new tires. Soooooo pissed.

That's pretty ridiculous. I would make sure they replace that tire for free if it only had 100 miles on it roughly.

I buy my tires online usually at tire-easy.com or tire rack and I take the rim or rims to the tire place and say, "Mount and Balance Please" then I take them home and put them back on. No tire jockey is going to jack with my car.

Tires come with a warranty from the manufacture usually anywhere from 50-80k miles. You should only have to pay for demount, then remount and balance..which should be around 25 bucks.

If I get half that out of my tires, I'd be thrilled.
Not all tires come with a mileage warrenty, but it is worth checking into.

Yea for sure, high speed tires = less mileage as pres says.
But a week? Somthing not right here bro. No way u should have to pay for the tires unless u ran over a crater of a pot hole, and they can prove that.
Other than u do something to them in that nature, they should replace the tire

Les Shwab ftw. Maybe overpriced but the customer is always right. I don't know about your area but the guys who work at the one here in Olympia are very nice.

A good alignment with proper toe settings will do wonders.
... You lowered a 2g without at least a rear kit??

Sad to hear man, you should always get a warrenty especially on tires. Sounds to fishy they did not offer a warrenty.

Update, they let me purchase a new found warrenty agreement after I bitched a bit. I said that the tires suck, so they're letting me exchange them for the tires I wanted off the bat as well. All works out in the end.
