For updates just got done with putting on 3 coats of primer. Was going to finish the night with also putting on the base coat but noticed the paint I'm using needs a catalyst which I forgot to buy, so painting will continue hopefully on Monday. The rims already look better with just the primer, so far very pleased.

I live in Venitia. Just got done putting down 3 layers of base coat. Was going to have them done a lot earlier but it has been raining for almost a week now. Today was the first day of not raining and supposed to rain tomorrow again. Friday should be a good day and should be able to finish them off. They look really good by the way and cant wait for clear coat.

The clear should have been applied after the basecoat had flashed off. I'm sure you will be out of your recoat window by the time you are ready for clear. You will have to scuff the basecoat up, clean everything again, reapply a couple of coats of base then clear after the base flashes.

Hey, look at the bright side, with base on them you can see what they are going to look like. Now is the time to smooth in any imprefections you may have missed.

AHHHHHHH was not aware of this. Can I just apply another coat of base before the clear?

Ok well I re sanded and did the whole deal. Looks pretty good waiting for the clear coat to harden. Should have pics up tomorrow mornin at latest.

Yeah im pleased. Should have had a before and after shot, and your reaction would have been a hell of a lot better.
