Everyone post your intercooler setup in here!
Everyone has a different turbo setup and supporting mods. We all know that selecting an intercooler and piping system that best fits your car is important and plays an intregal part of how effecient your turbo DSM operates. I opted for a sidemount location because of the rampant police inspections in my city and the fact that my office is close to the probation office and things have been stolen before. So I went with the sidemount and upgraded IC piping as well. I've got to say that I am *extremely* pleased with the quality, fitment and performance of my system. Anyone running 16/18/20G turbos on a street car, this is an excellent option to the common FMIC setup. It cools 23+psi on a 16G turbo without heatsoaking. If you run a T3/T4, it will heatsoak quicker than an FMIC but still cools 20psi no problem and not blocking the radiator aids in keeping the coolant cool. Here is my whole setup (2.5"UICP, DSSM, 2.25"LICP)
UICP:
LICP:
SMIC:
(compared to a stock IC)225% more surface volume. This full intercooler setup I have cost $600 total, piping powdercoated any color you want. The GReddy FMIC is $910 for comparison.
What are you running?

I also was thinking about the Supra, but it won't work with greddy piping and FIPK (might work with Piping if you cut the UIP shorter.)

I have been down the Intercooler route a few times.
Started with the ADFXracing.com sidemount with custom alum pipes.
Not bad but for the money i should have waited for a FMIC.
Then went with a indy race core intercooler very large 1.5psi drop. Not bad flows over 1000cfm i will never max it on the spyder.
Then on the 1g i have a smaller slow boy racing core. and custom piping.

can kinda see it in there, was a spearco medium (i think it was a med) with dejoin tool piping. worked awsome for my 14b and was just right for my 16g
with the holset tho i will be going with a greedy Xl (if i cant find a bigger FMIC) and prolly matching 3inch piping.
and yes i painted my FMIC black, sleeper look

vfaq!.
too bad adfx is not in business anymore, they had the only resonably priced sidemounts.
I lvoe that people don't KNOW my car is turbo.
It's not an eclipse, it's not a GSX or GST with the big hoop spoiler, and no FMIC and still has fogs.

well i have a HKS FMIC i would like to use, It is Hugh too, i need pipeing made for it, but everyone acts like it is such a big hassle , man i am like wtf ??? I can send u a pic of it to post on this thread, that is because i do not know how to put pics on this website, anyone know how the hell i can do this ??? anyways i want to go with a 2.5 uper pipe, and a 2.25 lower pipe, which by the way, i have heard this is the right thing to do, by getting a bigger upper intercooler pipe, and a slitly bigger than stock lower intercooler pipe, will give you the best performance, but like i said again this is just what i have heard.

I have the Hahn FMIC which I like very well, plus it should handle anything that I can throw at it.
