Ughht Ohhh.. VRSF FMIC is in.. PICS
Hey everyone.. got my hooptie up and goin again with the new front mount. Its awesome.. Looks good, performs better, colder air.. cant complain except fitment. It wasnt too bad. but i had to chop up the front bumper more than i thought. Also the radiator support. I had to cut out a triangular piece. And had to completely remove the bumper reinforcement (hope for no accidents
)Other than that im happy. I added in a couple pics of cutting up the front bumper. A little tip for people about to be doing it. I have seen a lot of hacked up jobs where people would cut the hell outta there bumper and leave waves all in it.. USE A BLOCK! -After cutting the main portion out. as they use for auto body repairs. (sanding down body filler, primer, etc). Its the only way to get it straight. Also use round blocks for the corners (i left all my good blocks at the shop so i improvised with a k&N oil filter ) it works, as long as it fits the shape of the curve and not to big or small to it and is perfectly round and flat, with no dibits. And then at least use some touch up paint on the back side. Hidden for the most part, so no one will notice its touch up ($10 at just about any auto body shop to have them mix u up 1 for ur car color). Just my 2 cents advice to keep the dsm's lookin good and not riced. 1 problem tho i need help with. I have something going on with my rpm's at idle. It will be fine at start up. After warming the engine up RPM's will rise from 1200 to 2000rpm, and stay there. After more driving around for a good while it can reach up to 2600rpms. When i TAP the gas quickly while driving it will usually go back down.. but does not happen at idle. My vaccum lines are all hooked up right and i did several boost leak tests.. and i should be good. ( although i had noise coming from out of my oil cap. that is normal right? any ideas on the idle problem what it could be if not boost leak and vacuum? Could it be that i had not tuned the car yet? its just a 16g on stock boost with the fmic and a turboxs bov. Thanks |

Are you sure it's not your PCV valve that is leaking?

Plugs & wires. You need new ones.

When you do the leak test, bypass the turbo.
