Please....use the search button so you don't get uber flamed on probably the #1 n00b question/mistake.

I read some stuff I found on google. It is ok to cover the recirculation tube on the intake. But venting to air causes a rich condition only while shifting which really isn't a big deal to me. LOL my dad was following me and said it smells like crap when I shift HAHAHA!

So I guess I'm fine, I may go to advanced and see if I can find better recirculation tubing I think the stock is kinking along with what you guys said.

This thing is really loud with the silver piece put it, It scares people walking on the side walk, me and my brother were testing it out yesterday and had people coming out of their house looking to see what the noise was.

I love this thing vented, I think Im gonna save up and buy the GM MAS and MAS AIRFLOW TRANSLATOR.

Funny how one of the first mods made are the ones that don't give you any power or performance = RICE

I see you still have the factory airbox, rubber snorkel, UICP.

Upgrading bov is not rice (unless you are venting). Its well known that the stock bov leaks under slight pressure. So by buying a bov that doesnt leak you actually are gaining performance, because you are holding the boost pressure.

Venting is not rice either. I have a 420A turbo and there is no need to recirc.

Rice is a fake bov on a non turbo car.

True, but here he is talking about a stock 4g motor. I guess it wouldnt be rice if you vented with a maf-t either.

When you do something because of the "cool sound" it makes and sacrifice performance thats what i call rice.
