does the snap ring look like its all the way it, i had a heck of a time trying to get the snap ring, it is tight, the bov will turn if you try to turn it by hand on the flange. but it seems tight, and the o ring gasket is in its place.

I'm sorry, but those are some of the worst audio/video links posted. I can barely make out what is going on. From what I could make out in your audio file, it doesn't sound like compressor surge though. Do some searches for "compressor surge" on youtube to listen to what it sounds like.

Ok I was searching google and found this:

1.) The blow-off valve should never make any sound while accelerating. The only time it should ever be audible is when it's activated by throttle lifts. There are some cars that will experience a vacuum/pressure/vacuum/pressure change in the manifold under part-throttle lifts. This rapid positive to negative pressure change can cause the valve to open and closed repeatedly, giving you this "fluttering" sound that you described.

HKS is a great bov, only problem with it, is that if you are letting the throttle go when your only at like 1-4psi or so, it might cause compressor surge a little. So just don't let off at that low of a psi, or train yourself to ease back out of boost before letting off abruptly. I'm sure it won't matter too much if you do it every now and then, just don't purposefully always cause it to compressor surge and you will be golden.

Yeah, both of those clips pretty much suck. Do you have a digital camera that can take video? those aren't soo bad to use.

I have a digi cam but it doesn't do audio, my dads does Ill have to borrow it.

I was in full boost in the audio clip, that video clip on youtube isn't mine.
I think it is making that noise because valve one opens and then valve two opens...

new greddys are not as adjustable as the old type S, or the HKS SSQV.

Hey guys I was playing around with the bov. I unhooked the recirculation hose and plugged the hole on the intake allowing it to vent to the air. It is really loud and is what I wanted. The car idles great and boosts properly. Is there and draw backs to doing it? The car seems to have as much power as before and idles as if it were stock.
