I removed the WHOLE center console, trying to find that damn ECU (not knowing what that thing even looks like).

Removed the steering wheel.. the car was a MESS..

it feels so good that it works after one try!!

Hey, a silly question...

What is the point in getting a turbo timer if you have to wait till the engine shuts off to (remote) arm/lock my car?

I tried to lock the car using my keychain remote but it won't lock untill the engine shuts off.

I know I can lock the car manually but, this is the future damn it.. I want my lazy one button press lock.

You should do a write up on how to install the turbo timer.

I had some issues with my car but they are resolved now.

I'm going to try to do a write up for the timer...
And I STILL need to put the gauge in...
will do that tomorrow.

Your boost gauge should be pretty simple to hook up for your boost sensor sender- red is power, black is ground, white is signal (which will connect to the green wire coming off the gauge.) for the Gauge red is power, black is ground, green connects to the white signal wire, orange is optional for the dimmer switch I never use that. And any vaccum off the manifold will do to connect to the boost sensor. Hope this helps ya.

To be totally honest...

It is because of you that I even came here. Your writeups are more help to us that don't know squat...
WAY more than you think!!!

I can't thank you enough..

and that goes to all of you obsessed car freaks...

sadly I'm one of them now, (will never forgive any of you for that!!)

Now I ordered a Lotek A pillar gauge holder. I mean WTF!!! I specifically asked in the beginning, I didn't want to do this kinda stuff. Now look at me.

My car is looking more and more like a space craft!

he he

You know what I have noticed?

Once you know what to do it is super easy to do it. (with proper guidance of course) The hard part is...

how do you troubleshoot the problem TO know what to do.

If something is wrong with my car, ... if the mechanic tells me.. "ohh it is the turbo that needs to be replaced" fine.. totally doable...

but I wished I had the knowledge to find out on my own what the problem was.

The reason I was MIA for a while there, was because of an electrical problem with my car (NO I DIDN'T DO IT!!!).

It took the dealer 3 days full time, to figure out what was wrong with it. I was more than pissed also to find out what it ended up costing me!

Anyway...

I'm still waiting on the A-pillar, but I'm going to start installing the gauge pretty much now.

Wish me luck !

Damn man.

Yes this helps a LOT!!! (Way to go man explaining it in rookie terms "red wire goes here, green goes there!!"). Hard to follow when you see things explained in actual terms.

I'm going to try to contribute to this forum by writing a write up on how to install the gauge using an A-pillar. (if I succeed of course).

Hey a quick question. Can I tap power from the radio wires? Basically what I'm asking... I need to tap power after the ignition switch correct? Otherwise the gauge will be always on, eve if I turn off the engine.

Is this train of thought correct?

Thanks again mate!

Cheers

Yeah rookie do a write up for sure. I'm just about to install some gauges on my gsx and I really don't want to have to pay to get them installed.
