Turbonetics

Im looken to get a new turbo for my 2g, it will be going on my built 6 bolt, and i need something that will make good hp numbers. I've been doing some research and came across the turbonetics and there line of turbos, also noticed that they have a new line of GTK series. I have been told by a few ppl that turbonetics turbos are pure junk, i was told they are a rip off of garrett turbos. I have been looken towards garret an there 40r dual bb turbo. Does anybody have any info on this debat???

Thanks

the GTK turbo is amazing, but WAY over priced. If you have proper supporting mods, then a GT4088R should do you nice

It will be going on a eagle 100mm strocker crank, with eagel robs and wiscro pistons, 280/280 crower cams w/ hks cam gears, on an on. Fully built for the streets. I love the look of the GTKs, but hurd they are junk. Who makes the GT4088r??

Don't ever let someone who tells you turbonetics turbos are junk anywhere near your car!!! Turbonetics has been for a long time and probably always will be among the top turbo manufacturing companies in the world. If you go to any race event take a peek under the hood of the cars. You will more then likely see turbonetics, garrett, or hks. This is almost not even worth the time to respond to wether or not turbonetics is a reputable company.

the reason you cant find much is people dont wanna shell out that kinda cash for something "not proven"...esp in the dsm world. Unfortunately 95% of people will only do whats tried and true and very rarely stray from there. Eventually someone will want to be different and go another route

I will say I don't know much about them. I have a 60-1 turbonetics t3/t4 turbo. My friend has a turbonetics hp-72 on his IS300 both are running same as the day they were installed. Mine is still relatively new though. But, like I mentioned before if you are looking for quality see what the pro's use. IMO you can't really go wrong with the 3 companies mentioned before. Is one actually better then the other? That is for you to decide. Some people prefer different things. My turbo came with a 1yr warranty I am not sure what kind of warranty garrett or hks has, but I am sure it is probably about the same.

Anybody know anything bout these turbos, Fp3065 serious?? Any good? I seen a couple of links about these turbos on fully built 2g dsms, dont say anything bout them but they have the fp3065 turbo. Seems pretty damn quick, But any fully built car would!?
