so who makes a good black intercooler..i want a black one so i don't have this huge intercooler stickin out for everyone to see...or would a big sidemount and upgraded piping do? but i'd rather have a black fmic..does anyone make one? i can't find one for this car..all i've found is universal..
also i was wanting everyone's input on the black intercooler vs. a polished one

ok so if i were to paint it what kind paint should i use? just a flat black normal paint? should i have a professional do it? and i'm gonna guess it's ok to paint the vents/slots in the ic (i dunno what their called) and stuff...i didn't know if the paint would mess it up or anything by getting in the ic.

LoL, do it yourself, spray it wherever you want. Just buy a can of flat black spray paint and go to town.

Nah, I've never been got at vector images of cars (even simple ones like this). Someone on Myspace had it -- I don't remember who. I jsut cut it out and added text *shrug*

Anodize it. Dont paint it. -10 for bad/misleading info from me.

However, some people paint the intercooler and claim the cooling/(lack there off) effects are very minimal. They actually used bbq grill paint

use a sharpie lol, jk. go anodize its really clean or else look for some very light high temp paint.

yeah..i didn't know how all of that worked with the paint thing.
where can i go to get one Anodize.. and do you guys know about how much it would cost? (more size = more money) but a ball-park figure?

i would not use black paint as that may take away from some of the cooling ability...just my 2 cents

dejon tool and hahn make sidemount intercoolers rated for 400hp, i would use one if i made sub 400 #'s.

I just painted mine black, w/ regular duplicolor black paint. I noticed no cooling differences, granted i have a huge FMIC so i wouldnt expect much. Worst case if you use reg paint and you notice a difference they invented paint remover for a reason
