need some helpful input
Well guys... as some of you know I blew up the new car I bought... now I have it back with a newer motor in it. When I got the car the dealer said the turbo was new- I didnt think anything of it till I looked at the numbers on it. Now my I have 2 questions- 1 being what turbo is it? I got the numbers td05h and the seriel number of 49178-01 47... secondly with that larger turbo do I NEED the fuel mods right now? Im not positive if the guy who owned it first put a bigger pump and injectors in or not so just kind of looking for some input! thanks a lot guys- later on

ok just kidding I think I figured it out... Sounds like its a big16g? correct me if I'm wrong... and I should be ok as long as I keep the boost where its at. Sound right? Right now I'm just changing all the fluids belts are already new so thats taken care of. Bought IC piping and an HKS ssqv blow off... have an EGT gauge.. boost gauge and oil pressure gauge- gauges installed the other day look pretty sick- and I think I'm going with espelir jgt500 exhaust with probably megan racing downpipe and a highflow cat. and then most likely fuel pump (not quite sure what to go with yet so any help is appreciated) then some injectors (again need some help)

An easy way to check the difference between a 14b and a 16g is to check the fins. If theyre all the same size- 14b. If its a pattern of a larger fin, smaller fin, larger, smaller.... 16g
Fuel pump, you could get away with a 190 really easily. Or, you could get a 255 and a fpr and be done with it
As far as I know, the Megan DP is a cat delete pipe, so a highflow cat isnt really an option without some custom modifications to the pipe

well if thats the case with the dp... then thats even better lol kinda skeptical on the espelir but from the little I've read about it- it seems pretty solid. I think I'll jus go with the 255 and call it a day since if I'm sure I would be upgrading in the future and needing more fuel. Any recommendations on the injectors?

umm the megan dp comes in two formas, cat delete and non cat delete. i have the one that wont delete the cat next to my bed right now. if u dont ever plan on doing anything more than the 16g go with the 190, but fro the same price get a 255 with the fpr, youlll be set for yrs

Also, if you are planning on using a HKS BOV, make sure to get the recirculation kit with it as well so your car can run good.

"...so your car can run well."
That's it: everyone here needs to join SPOGG.org. Can we make that a requirement to join T2G from now on?
Also an MBC would be nice... but I'm sure you know that already. :0)

Ugh.
I hate it when my students write "your" instead of "you're" and "their" instead of "there".... definitely a pet peeve. As a matter of fact, it's one of my rules: if I find a "their / there" or a "your / you're" error on the essays, they have to re-write (hand write) the whole thing. Spellcheck isn't necessarily going to catch those mistakes, so it forces them to review their essays. :0) Those are the three things that REALLY gets me going... "your/you're", "there/their", and "good/well."

I dont mess those up unless its a hurry-up post, where I deleted something, went back, added more, deleted a little, then posted.
But I'm almost always too lazy to throw in an apostrophe (Kain knows what I'm saying)
I used them here because I was really trying. ha
And Yune, I support your methods.
What is your opinion on starting sentences with "and" btw...
And also, what do you teach at the School of Yune? Physics? English?
edit- disclaimer- Kain uses apostrophes. He just knows I dont :)

That always bothers me, it is probably right, but I always read it as: "Also an Manual Boost Controller...." not M-B-C, so it always doesn't make grammatical sense when I read it.
Sorry about the good/well thing, I guess I was in a hurry and didn't re-read it.

No need to apologize. :0) I teach English, so this anal retentiveness comes with the job. Special rule about the indefinite articles: you know you're supposed to use "a" for nouns that start with consonants and "an" for nouns that start with vowels. For the nouns that start with a consonant but SOUNDS like a vowel, "an" should be used.
MBC is pronounced em-bee-see, right? M is a consonant, so "a" should be used, but because the letter M is phonetically [em], "an" is used. However, this is not the case for all uses of "M": a mouse, a mountain, a man, AN MTV-generation.
I'd like to go on, but it's the weekend; and I refuse to give you guys a grammar lesson. ;0)
