57 Trim Turbo
can i use a 57 trim turbo for a liitle bit, with my side mount ?
I would only boost around 8 psi . Let me know if this is possible.
As for fuel : i have AFC2, PTE 680cc injectors, walbro 255 HP, FPR.
I wouldnt be really using any of the potential of this turbo till i put on my FMIC, so i am just holding off for a couple of weeks before i can get one of those. As this turbo is expnsive enough for me.

its gonna heat soak that thing quick, also those injectors are not going to cut it, your gonna need 750 or bigger if you wanna run any reasonable amount of boost

I can't be 100% on wether or not it will heak soak, but if you have the opertunity I would grab that 57 trim if it's at a good price in good condition, then if you're that worried about it, don't put it in till you get the front mount.

I can get the 57 trim with internal gate, for $550 . I need a turbo ASAP as i blew my Evo Big 16g up. I think i was had on the turbo, its not a GT turbo. But It was only 6 months old. And hardly boost. I take it as a good lession learned. And will Now Buy MHI or a good quality turbo only from now on.

just get some 750's you'll be much happier and you wont be pushing your injectors harder than you should.
I run 750cc's with a 190 for my 20g

its all going to matter what you use to control your fuel, if you have DSMLink just get the biggest injectors you can afford. It is more than easily compensated for and you will not have to worry about maxing them out. If your using an S-AFC your going to end up needing to get a chip to compensate for injectors once you get up that high

ehh how do you plan on turning the boost down to 8 psi. I though if you tried to turn the boost down lower then stock it just stayed at stock 12 psi?

You can only go as low as your wastegate spring is set for, pretty much.

not necessarily, just dont push your pedal to accelerate enough to build boost....
and 750's are tuneable with a logger and SAFC...750's are the max for an SAFC though

I heard 720cc injectors where the Max for a AFC but i guess i could be wrong. You are right about the gas pedal. If i dont boost the turbo until i get a FMIC then i should be cool right ?
Ok guys Heres the Total truth or this matter. I NEED YOUR HELP.
I have a Big Evo 16g turbo that just blew on me, it has side to side shaft play, up and down, and in and out. Its Screwed. So i need a new turbo. I have $600 to spend on a new turbo. But want to buy one that Bolts up like a PTE,Bulleseye,SBR, ect. I want it to be internal gated. Yes i could buy a MHI 16g, ect but why work backwards, when i already want a bigger turbo. So i ask you guys this what turbo should i got with ??? I can get a 57 trim T04B for $550 internal gated. But will have to buy oil feed and return lines for a extra $168 . I cant figure out what i should do and it is driving me crazy. My car running like $hit due to the turbo being blown. And this is my daily driver so i will need a new turbo ASAP.
1995 eclipse GST 1g motor/Head/intake manifold/ 2g 58mm RC TB. Stock IC, and Stock internals. Will it be safe to run a bigger turbo without internals ??? A T04B 57 trim turbo supports 450 HP, so i should be ok right, but would want to upgrade the IC right away right ?
My fuel mods are : PTE 680cc injectors, AFC2, Walbro HP fuel pump, Full throttle FPR .
Ignition Mods: NGK BPR7ES spark plugs , Magnacore wires.
