Exclamation Radio wiring help

ok i jus got my car maybe a week ago, there are wires all in the truck probably for subs and amp. there are 2 long white/clear wires (one not hooked up at all). 2 thick red wires. and 1 thin blue almost like a surround sound speaker wire. ok so they were all over the truck. and it was filthy so i decided to vauum it out. first i jus tucked them under the rug and onto the "carboard". the radio still worked. today i tuck it under the rear seat back. let me better explain that. when you pull down the back seat backrest.(mine's a one piece) there are those push in bolts that connect the carpet to the back of the backrest. so i pulled those out and tucked them under there. now all of a sudden the stereo doesn't work. so i took them out and put them back on top of the carpet. it still didn't work. i can hear the speakers but only if i put my ear upto the speaker. and even then it's a whisper. so now im stumped if anyone can help me it would be great. thank you

if its hooked up by color code then that blue wire is the lead that turns on the amp when the stereo is on. if you shorted that against the body it may have just blown a fuse or it may have fried the deck, it depends on alot of other things.

the clear wires should be for the speaker
the red wires are probably a power and a ground
just remember that this all depends on how it was installed,I dont trust anyone else near my car so if I were you I would cap off all of those wires and when you want to install another system use all new wiring

If it is stock then your best bet would be to upgrade if its not stock you might be able to find a shop that will fix it, other than that I would make sure those wires are capped off, and try disconnecting the battery for a couple minutes. at this point its kinda like grasping at straws without actually seeing it

I had a sony headunit in my truck and when I got my eclipse, I put it in there.

I haven't had any problems with it at all. Works great actually
