well i just recently noticed my car not having alot of pull right after the 5k mark i was wondering was that typical for a 97 gsx. the stats say i should have max power at 6k so it shouldnt drop off at 5k. the turbo pulls very strong up untill 5k so no boost leak i wouldnt think? i just replaced the clutch so it shouldnt be sliping, but it kinda has the symptoms of a sliping clutch at 5k the rpm keeps going up but i dont gain alot of speed and i feel the sudden loss of power. can anyone tell me what this could be. comments will be appreiacated.

You need a tune-up? Between that and maybe a boost leak or worn turbo problem I am not sure. When my GSX was stock it pulled to redline well. :-k

Basic tune up.
Check for boost leaks.

Not necessarily in that order.

Was just about to say that, I felt the same thing with my car, so i got a 16g ported,evo manifold and o2 Housing (all ported), 2.5 - 3.0 inch downpipe (3inch after the flex), 3inch exhaust. and just got all of my turbo gaskets, evo gaskets, from Dave in Norco Mitsubishi. I just bought all of these over a period of time, along with a HKS intercooler,Intercooler pipeing that i am having fabbed to mount up to my eclipse GST. I did all of this so when i installed all of this, it will be a hugh jump from where i felt like my car was slow. I have full internals already so, straight after that i am getting my eclipse tuned, for max power at 25 lbs of boost.
