came on right after i went straight pipe... i think ive heard someone say that this will trigger the check engine light??

That is from the downstream o2 sensor. You will have it. Welcome to the CEL club.

Wanna know somethin messed up? Well, do ya? I put in a straight pipe and my CEL stayed out for like a week and a half then it cam on and stayed on for like 3 weeks and has now been out for a wee and a half!?!?!?!?!?!? I love those DSMs and the way they have a mind of their own. 8-[

i just got my thermal cat back on and i made an appointment for a test pipe. what are the odds of my light coming on??

They pretty much will. Your downstream sensor is going to be a messed from the exhaust not going through the cat. As long as you know that's the reason it's on, you're fine.

....untill something REALLY bad happens to your car that sets off the light to tell you to stop, but its already on, so you lose. Go buy a OBD-II scan tool that will delete DTC's for peice of mind.
