So the other day that damn light came on. My car has been pretty sluggish since and also Ive noticed it slugging before. Now however its pretty bad I have to almost ride the clutch to get it to move without staling out. Also my alt I know is going bad, but I dont think this would cause the check engine light to come on. I know there is some self-diagnostic way to do it, does anyone know the site that has that? Also if you know what my problem might be speak up and if you want more information let me know. By the way, its a 99 Eclipse GS. Thanks.

Yes it will. I have had some weird upper alternator error come up on my GSX before.

Uh... yeah. that would be this site. The Hazer posted it under "The Keydance". But that doesnt work on your car, it's only for 95-97.

Take your car to autozone, they will run a diagnostic for free.
