Massive Loss Of Power!

HEY guys i did a search before i decided to post this becuase i couldnt find anything that helped out... i have this post on another site and we couldnt get to the bottom of it... i really hope you guys can help out!
Thanks

Alright here is the story... i was on a pretty big road trip from montna to arizona and was driving up a pass through utah with my a/c on and my cruise control on, and my car started to max boost around 15 psi (thats what my autometer gauge read) so i decided to take it off cruise control and turn off the a/c so i didnt stress the engine to much... then i started to pass a semi truck (with cruise control off boostin around 10) when my boost gauge started to jump all over the place and i had a huge loss of power! so i pulled over to the side of the road... and shut off the car... looked around didnt see anything majorly wrong so i left the hood open and started it back up, idling was fine but as soon as i revved it passed 2500 it would start to vibrate really bad... and i also noticed that at idle my vac was at 10 inHg instead of the usual 15inHg... so i looked around some more and saw that my ic hose comming from the turbo to the ic was moved alittle bit so i losened it and pushed it back on some more, it wasnt off though it still had about an 1.5 to 2 in till the end... so i started it back up and let it run for a little longer when i decided i really needed to get off the side of the interstate so i started back up the hill very slowly and back down and it seemed to be working ok but my vac was still low... with all my power still not back yet... so if you guys have any suggestions that would be very helpful! and thanks for your time!!! : )

i have done a boost leak check and that was good

no CEL's....

Timing is good...

Oil pressure is good too...

thank you guys so much for givning this one a shot... i hope it helps someone else out in the long run! : )

How did you perform boost leak test?

You can check basic things like : is your maf still plugged in? or what do the plugs look like...etc.

Check your timing.
I assume since you did a boost leak test the BISS is still there.

Might want to check the turbo for shaft play? Just a few ideas.

Any noise associated with this incident? Change in coolant temperature? What turbo?

sorry for the confusion i forgot to tell you guys that i did due a complete replacement of the timing belt, bearings and whatnot... after this happened i pulled off the TB cover and all the marks still linned up... my coolant temp was kinda warm after i started it up for the second time... but thats to be expected because i shut if off right after it happened and after about 30sec-1min of it running (the second time) it cooled off back to normal...

oh sorry i have the stock T25 and i checked the shaft play and it was good as allways... no in/out, side/side, or up/down.... as for a noise... not really it just vibrated ALOT when i revved to around 2500 and after tighening the ic hose that stopped...

Are the balance shafts still in the car?

Have you checked to make sure you are firing on all cylinders?

Compression test?

cylinder one is way too low, might want to check that out, just that it's too much of a difference between cylinders

It's not WAY too low, but it is a bit low. Do a leakdown test and compare the results to the compression test.

no when i checked it they were all within the 20% spec from my hanes manual... i dont know if those are the exact numbers but all im getting to is im 99% sure its not a problem with the compression, being as how it came on so suddenly... thanks for the try though!
