Horn not working

So I just got a 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS two days ago, and one of the many small problems with it is that the horn does not work whatsoever. I need this to work if I am to take my driver's test in it. Any ideas why it might not work, and any ideas as to how to fix it? Thanks

Check the wiring for the horn in the steering column while you're down there looking at the fuse. Could be a faulty switch too, but we need more information first. Hopefully it is just a fuse.

Prob. just a fuse. If not, maybe a bad switch. Prob. no bid deal though. Shouldn't be hard to get worked out. Def. check the fuse and get back to us.

i had the same prob, i went and got a new horn from the junk yard and thought it was the horn that didn't work but... and i sure hope mitsu isn't the one who wired the horn... but it was the gound wire that runs for some reason up to a bolt that i think my headlight is attached to, just had to move it over a little.

Something else I thought of on this, is that in 95, they started installing airbags on these cars, which made the steering wheel much bulkier. After a while, all that bulk hods the horn buttons away from the contacts , making it much more difficult to honk the horn. I recently changed my 2g wheel for a 1g wheel, and now my horn works again.Just a thought.

your in florida, you can get away with that. most of us have inspections we need to go through :)

its ok because florida should be getting Cali-like emission laws...glad i moved out of there.
