How to Get the Best Replies to Your Thread

Problems with your car can be infuriating, we know. That's where we come into play. In order for you to get the best answer possible to your question there are a few things that we would like to see.
  • A good title. There is nothing worse than a non-descriptive title. Like help me plez!!!!. For starters it makes the search function alot harder to use in the future. Make your title descriptive so we won't skip over it, and members in the future can use the search easier. This will build the tech information over here ten-fold.
  • Be descriptive as possible when telling us your problem. Something like "It just stopped working" won't cut it. Tell us everything. Even if you think it is miniscule, it might be important.
  • List your car in "My Automobiles" in your profile. That alone will stop the confusion of 420a guys posting in 4g63 related threads, and vice versa. That leads to mis-information, which is killer in a tech forum.
  • Make sure you look at the My Automobile part of the original post, so you don't try to answer a question you know nothing about.
  • Now we are not going to be the grammar police, but it does help when you post something that's easy to understand. Like I said, we are not here to correct grammar, but if you put some effort in your posts, then we'll put some effort into ours.
  • Try to search. And I mean try. If you ask a question without showing any effort whatsoever, then the best post you will get from me is a link to a thread with info in it, then I'll tell you to search. It's that simple. The info is out there. There is 20+years of info out there for DSM's. Find it, and use it. Again, put some effort into your posts, and we'll put effort into ours. It's that simple.
Thank you.
