which tire size?

hey whats up fellas im wondering if 235/40/18 will fit on a 96 gst with stock supension? my current size is 225/35/18 thank in advance for the info

you need to list the width of your wheels for us to determine what would fit. I know 40's are the correct size for 18's. but we have such large fenders, 45's would fit i guess. i have no idea on width, because you could have 7" wide tires, or 8" 235 is kinda wide.... hope you have wide wheels

White 1995 Eclipse GS-T

235 is the width of the tire. usually they would fit on a wheel I think about 7.5 or 8" I have the 17"x7.5" GSX wheels and I have a 225 tire on them. I would assume the width is fine. Get a measuring tape and make some measurements. Keep in mind that the wheel will be moving up and down of course too. Also, make sure that after you put those new tires on that you re-calibrate your speedometer for the larger wheels. But we definately need to know your WHEEL size to help.
