Question On Camber Kits

I was wondering how the camber kits work if you get coilovers and you adjust the height. I'm thinking about getting coilovers so I can ride high and low depending on where I'm going or what I'm doing but I don't know how it works with camber kits since I would adjust the height all the time. Don't know much about it and trying to see what I need to do to get coilovers and keep my tires longer than 2 months. Any help please?

Well guys today is your lucky day. When you adjust your ride height with coilovers your going to be giving your tires negative camber. They will look a little like this / \ What a camber kit doe's is replace your stock mounting hardware in the front and in the rear. The front is a little different then the rear. On the rear the new brackets will have a cam adjustment that when turned will give you negative or positive camber. Depending on how much negative camber you have you can install washers between the mounting brackets and the frame of the car. This will give you more positive camber. I'm sorry if this doesn't make much sence. It's a little hard to describe, I will try to get a picture for you guys tomorrow. As far as the front kit goes hopefully someone else can fill you in. I haven't done the front yet. For badass handling you will want -1.50 of camber in the front and rear.

but i think the question really is, will we have to adjust the camber kits every time we adjust the height? I'm assuming its a yes but maybe if we set the camber at 0 at the higher of the heights we want then when we lower it we could get it to be about that -1.50. am I correct in my assumptions?

You are correct. As long as you don't go any lower then about in inch and a quarter you assumption will work. The rear tends to be affected more then the front when lowering.

Yes you will!

Personally I don't understand the fact of coilovers and camber kits, unless you can keep the coils at the exact specs all the time, your going to throw your camber off everytime you adjust your ride. Me personally everytime I go to get my camber adjusted I not only pay 40 bucks, but I have to take off front bumper, foglights, side skirts, different rims, and then drive to the place illegally, then go home and repeat process. All because my car is already too low.

Coils also offer a crappy ride (yes I've bought as a cheap alternative to get car higher then when I bought it). To me their just not worth it but its anyones opinion everyone is intitled to their own opinion. Coilover shock setup, now that is a different story that includes a few hundred extra bucks.

Alright so I just bought coilovers and I've been looking for a while trying to find a camber kit off of ebay and they have so many frikin different ones I don't know what to buy. I know there are different kinds of camber kits but I don't know which one I need. They start at like $30 and go up to about $190 and I'm not sure what I need to buy...?
