If you aren't going to search, or just go against logical advise to upgrade your shocks when you lower your car, then I guess that is your loss. The car may not ride "bumpy", but you won't have a car that handles. If you are in it for the look, go ahead and lower your car on stock shocks. If you want your car to perform, your path will be much different. And please, if you decide to attempt this job on your own, use a spring compressor.

i dont plan on doing this myself..... i have no clue what im doing...
im gonna see what it is like with just the springs, if it is horrible, ill just save a little more and replace the stock shocks. im trying to do all of this on a budget, if i dont need to spent more than i have to then there is more money for other things too!

thanks for ur suggestions

If you're on a budget, why would you pay for labor twice for the same job?

no. my defintion of budget is that i have money, just not alot to throw down at one time.

i cant just shell out 500 bucks to lower my car, im tryin to see if there is a cheaper way that wont suck. but i know cheap and good dont mix.

it seems some people have done it the cheap way and it has worked...

i have alot of things to pay for so the spare money to fix my ride isnt alot, and i like to buy something new wit ehat ever i got.

ive decided i dont wan to scrape everything rite now so i bought speakers and a new dead unit instead

Great. While you save up to lower your car the right way, work on your spelling and capitalization.

Sorry to hear about your "dead unit".
