Stock springs with KYB GR-2 struts? - Team-2G Mitsubishi Forum

Hey guys, I'm thinking of putting stock springs back into the spyder. Will this work out? I've heard that the KYB GR-2 is just like the stock struts so it'll be like going OEM. Also I'm looking for the stock springs from a 2g spyder GS. If you have 'em laying around your garage, I'm in need of it.

YES! This is what the GR-2's are meant for. OEM springs. It will work out fine

You'll be fine, GR-2's are only about 10% stiffer than stock struts.

Thanks for the help, I'm feeling good about it... now only if I can find some stock eclipse gs spyder springs laying around. Mostly everybody in here are all about lowering their eclipse with aftermarket struts and springs... anyone have their spare OEM spring they aren't using?

The previous owner put in KYB GR-2 with B+G suspension. It's very low. Ride is harsh! Thinking i swap the stock springs with the KYB. I also have 18" wheels, but not on yet. Do you think after I put the wheels in, will it affect the suspension?

Side note: I'm looking for stock springs...

they have most junkyard's inventories listed, so give it a shot. Also i think you could use gsx or gst spyder springs as well, so dont think you HAVE to get the spyder gs springs.
