Tokico question

What's up w/ yall.....Had a question for anyone who can answer it

When I bought the 96 eclipse I have now, the guy before me put those ebay-cheap-sleeve-type coilovers on it. He also had the 2002 Eclipse GTS rims
on them. Well, to make a long story short, he blew the struts, and so now, I have the privlege of driving a car that feels like I'm in a tank( I can't hit a bump w/o going airborne). After 2 weeks of this, I said, "screw this, I got to get this fixed." So I just bought some Tokico struts and springs (1.5 drop) that should be coming in next week.
Here is the question....... I used to have a 95 eclipse also, and the ride was a bit rough (maybe because the springs were cut). Once I install the struts and springs, will the ride be more smooth than the 95 eclipse or will I feel just about every stick I hit in the road?(I really can't complain because anythings better than how my car is handling right now) Also, w/ a 1.5" drop, and the GTS rims on the car, will it look all right?

Re: Tokico question

What kind of struts? adjustable / non adjustable ? and It will definitely be better then "cutting" your springs .. which you should never do .. but back to the question ... what size are the rims .. do you have low profile tires? and you may need a camber kit once you lower it .. depending if the top of your wheels go in/out ..

Cutting springs is the worse thing ever. The spring is ment to be whole when you cut it it just messes everything up. Depends on what ones you picked. The spring rate has a lot to do with the bouncing feel also the struts do to. Tokico blues (i have them) i notice no bounce some people do depending on springs. The tokico adjustables i have seen people run "bouncy" springs and adjust the strut to take that away. No matter what i will say that the ride will be better than blown struts ;)
