Thank you everyone for the nomination, I accept. The thing that this forum needs most right now is someone that can take the time to go through every single post on every new thread that arises every day. We need someone that spends a good chunk of their day on the website. We need someone that knows the rules of the site, and knows how to uphold them. We also need someone that knows a good deal about the DSM family, and is willing to share their knowledge with others. The reason that I will make a good moderator is that I spend most of my day browsing this site, and trust me I go through just about everything. I also am a stickler for grammar, punctuation, and capitalization errors. I promise to everyone that I will keep our forums clean and make our lives easier when it comes to searching for topics that have already been covered. I am also pretty knowledgeable on the 420a platform, and I am learning the 4g63 platform pretty quickly. You can ask any of the members on this site, I am always willing to help out, whether it is jumping in the chat to walk you through something, or email, or even a phone call. If I do not know the answer I will not bullshit you, I’ll research it until I get the right answer, then share my findings with you. Team-2g will benefit from a new moderator and I hope you all will take the time to read through every single one of the candidates posts and consider each and every one of us; we will all make good moderators. Please consider making me one of the moderators of this team, I will not let you down.

First off, I would like to thank all of the members that nominated me for this moderator position. I wouldn't be on here if it wasn't for you guys! Thank you all!
I believe I would be a great moderator for Team-2g, because I have been around here for quite some time, I know this site very well. I know the members here. I have also been around for the coming and leaving of many members.
Some of the things I will continue to do for our site are:
-Vendors - I will continue to help contact and sign them onto our forums.
-Advertising - I will continue to advertise our site, supporting it in every way possible.
-Assisting - I will continue to be on line as often as my life allows me to be on here, helping members with problems and conflicts they are having.
-Monitoring - I will continue to browse every thread and read every post as I do now.
I also believe I will make an awesome moderator due to my vast knowledge of the DSM platform, especially the 420a powered DSMs. I have built several motors, and troubleshot many different problems.
I post in both the technical threads and the fun off topic threads. Therefore getting to know all of the members quite well. I also know most of you guys (and girls) and get along with everybody the best I can.
I also try to talk to members of the forums as much as I can off the site as well as on the forums. I really hope you guys will consider me for moderator!
Best of luck to all the other candidates as well!
Oh yea, and if I get the moderator position, I will change my name back to Supa_dupa_man!
THANK YOU TEAM-2g!

I accept. Thanks to everyone who thinks I'd be a good candidate. Without you guys I wouldn't even be typing all this:
First, I just want to wish the others good luck.
Everybody knows me. They know I'm on this site ALL the time. Especially now, as I am unemployed at the moment. I've been here pretty long, and know the rules, am fairly knowledgeable, help out as much as possible, etc.
I also have realized that this forum has needed another moderator for a long time, as our mod list, has a lot of "not-so-active" members. Not trying to call anybody out, but seriously SCR should really pass the torch. I respect him in so many ways, but why be a moderator, if your not going to do your "duties"?
Which is how I come to this:
I want to remind everyone that a moderator position is for someone to uphold the specific forum's rules. Just because you are highly knowledgeable with our cars, doesn't necessarily make you a good candidate. In the past this forum has had its fair share of highly knowledgeable moderators, who in my opinion, really should have just gotten the title "wiseman" rather than moderator. Also, a few of them, I think realized this and gave up their position. A lot of this though, starts to deal with DSMpurity stuff, which I don't want to bring up. Now don't get me wrong, most of the moderators on every site are always highly knowledgeable. I just wanted to let you think about it some. Maybe Rob will do something later on that will have people voted and awarded "wiseman" positions, maybe he wont. I do really wish we did have that implemented, since we already don't have a rep system. (Which would be controlled by the moderators, so that positive rep additions could not be abused)
With all that said, everyone on the list is a good candidate, and as I stated before, good luck to all.
May the best candidate win.

First of all, I accept the nomination. Also thanks for the ones that nominated me for this position.
All the candidates are all very good fit for this position and anyone of us will do our best to help the forums.
Members, if you elect me as the new moderator, I will keep on doing what I do best. That is helping other members with problems or questions they might have. Also will help enforce the current rules of this forum. Rules that I am well aware of since I have been on here for two years now and continuing strong. Another important requirement for a moderator is time to this forum. I am on this forum most of the day. As long as my phone is on or I have a computer near me, I always have an eye on Team-2G. I check as many threads as time allows me and try to read every post. Well as long is not on the Off topic, we all know how long does threads get.
All in all TEAM-2G needs a person that has the time, responsibility, and willingness to help other Moderators on maintaining this place clean.
Like I said previously, good luck to everyone else and let the best candidate win.
Thanks
Richard.

I accept my nomination and thanks for the nomination(s) for whomever nominated me. I see myself as an equal fit to the other nominees but I feel that I can bring a little bit more to the table.
I have been a member here for close to two years when I first purchased my 95 GS-T so I understand how to navigate the site, the rules, the OG's, and have met many of new people through this site. I have helped newbs who have sent me PM's and posted threads about questions concerning projects which they may be trying to accomplish. I work in the media center on campus so basically I sit on my laptop 98% of the time at work and most of my time at home when I'm not wrenching on the Eclipse navigating through T2G and TGC.
I have an extensive background and knowledge with Mitsubishi. I have owned a 96 Galant S, a 94 Galant GS, a 92 Diamante LS, a 93 Eagle Talon TSi, and my 95 GS-T. I can cross reference the platforms to see what may work, what does work, and how to go about the mods of using other parts from other models. We did many of tricks on the Galant platforms since there isn't a lot of aftermarket support for them. I work on all of my cars except for the tires thus I have the hands on experience on top of my knowledge. One of my biggest accomplishments with my GS-T was doing a 5 speed swap which there is basically zero information on through out the internet. I cross referenced parts and knowledge from my Galant.
I have also been the web, forum, and server administrator for The Galant Center (TGC) for the last 3 years which has been phpBB and vBulletin. I have managed users and moderators in a very good manner over the years and it has been a good experience. I have installed custom scripts, themes, and forum features to help benefit the members. I have also invited outside vendors to the site to offer group buys and discount to help benefit them and us. I also moved the site from a webhost to a full dedicated server for speed and reliability. I also have previous experience with forum moderation from previous sites. I was also an administrator on a fairly sized IRC network also which can consist of thousands of users at a time.
I believe I have the time, tools, and knowledge to benefit Team-2G. To help propel the forum into the future with a bright outlook. To help the members with questions they may have, problems which may occur in which they need a mediator, or just want a new friend. So I thank you all for taking the time to read my nomination "speech". - Reggie aka Proto
