2004 Mitsubishi Caps System and Shop Manuals
Link:
http://digitalperfection.hthosting.com/eclipse/caps.zip Instructions and info: **BEFORE YOU START, YOU MUST HAVE A WAY TO UNZIP FILES, WHETHER IT BE WINZIP, OR WINRAR. NOT HAVING THIS WILL LEAVE YOU SOL.** **MAC USERS, SORRY, BUT YOU ARE ALSO SOL. THIS IS A WINDOWS BASED APPLICATION ONLY.** This is 520+ mb when unzipped, and it has to be installed on C:\ No subfolders, just plain C:\ drive. For example it should look like this when done: C:\caps\ Next, look in the wincaps subfolder (inside the CAPS folder) for a green CD looking icon, that is the .exe file you will use. Rightclick on it and make a shortcut on your desktop. Do not move it or remove it from that folder. This has been graciously submitted by AttackEagle, and hosted by aacordon. Write up was wrote by Kain. Thanks for the great resource guys. IN ADDITION: Shop Manuals. If you want, upload them to your site as well and that could act as a mirror. http://digitalperfection.hthosting.c...hopManuals.zip Caps v3.41 Mini Tutorial by Kain This is going to be a mini-write up. I am assuming you all know how to un-zip the caps, and put them in the C:\caps\ directory in windows. Quick Tip: Inside of the program, most of the time right-clicking anything will clear it and left-clicking will either select it or add more to it. Step. 1 This is the actual caps program. I would suggest right clicking and making a short cut, then dragging and dropping on your desktop or wherever you so desire. Either way, this is where the magic happens. C:\caps\WINCAPS\CAPS.exe ![]() Step. 2 If you wish to re-locate the caps directory "instead of c:\caps\", you can do so by clicking File | Setup, then entering a new directory. ![]() Step. 3 If you click in the box labeled "Vehicle Name Code", you will get a pop up list of mitsubishi vehicles to choose from. ![]() Step 4. If you click in "model", you again get a pop up list. Sorted by Engine size, turbo/non, then fwd, awd, etc. ![]() Step 5. Now is the fun part, looking for parts. You can do so by searching the illustrations or by searching for a part name. Some of the names are tricky so try everything un till you get what you want. Here is an example of what it will look like when you click in the "Illustration" box. As you can see, I have chosen to expand upon, "Steering", "Body", and "Exterior". To select them click on their numbers. ![]() Step 6. After you have gone through and found your part, it will bring you back to the main screen again and spit out the Mitsu Part number so you can enter it to your local mitsu website/etc to see if they have it and how much you will be raped when you buy it.

This type of cooperation is what makes DSMpurity.com the best DSM website on the net.

I also took the liberty to upload the factory service manual as well. So now the CAPS & FSM should work.
Let me know if you have any problems with them. Here are the service manuals: http://www.mediafire.com/file/orxk0yy1ymq/service manual.PDF http://www.mediafire.com/file/dkdd3mgyz1x/service manual 2.PDF And a backup link for CAPS: http://www.mediafire.com/file/t50h0n...caps-setup.exe
