between parts, labor, and machining i have spent about 8k in my engine
i did a total rebuild though to include gasket matching the intake, new cams and upgraded valve train if you can do it all yourself cut that in about half i probably overpaid but it came with a guarantee that if it blew it would get redone |

Yeah, You can find the parts of the rebuild kit at www.exileracing.com or www.howellautomotive.com just click your way to the bottom end rebuild kit. Runs you about $1100 for the kit if I remember correctly.

I put together all my parts separately. JE pistons (8.8:1), Eagle rods, Melling oil pump, Clevite bearings, OEM water pump, timing belt, felpro gasket kit, Total seal rings, ect. I payed $400 for the machine work and assembly. All together I payed between $1500-1600. No head work though, but that will be coming up after the boost is added. You may not be able to find all the parts at the prices I got them for, but I bet you could get close. Just search around for them.
baxsom: good lawd that's a lot of money. Even after my head work I probably won't be half as high as your engine build. But I have no guarantee...

my engine is made for boost , very low compression around 8.4:1 swapping a 2.4 is not an easy task if you don't have contacts to cut the cost down on the fabrications of the parts Alain
