Do you have to dent the water pipe for that turbo? Also its only oil cooled right? Please tell me how it goes cause the turbo looks promising. I want to see you crack low 11s with it, with the other necessary supporting mods of course.

Yeah you have to dent the wate pipe and also have to loop the water lines cuz it oil cooled. I should be able to run some good times depending on how my motor holds up. I also am not sure how hard i am going to puch the 750 injectors on this turbo but we will see once i start tuning it.

The nice thing about the turbo is that it is supposed to be really heavy duty. The 360 degree journal bearing is supposed to permit the turbo to last close too 80,000 miles if you turbo time right and treat the turbo right. We will see though.

I thought the Hx35 is suppose to flow like the 35r but I didn't see a fuel pump in your mods. Also with 750cc you can only boost to 24psi on that turbo. If I were you drop the 750cc and snag some 1000+ just for safety reasons.

I'm curious to see how your engine will hold up. The stock HG might be a savior though. Sweet build

I will be running as much boost as my injectors allow me. With dsm link its super eay to moniter that kind of stuff and know when to stop. If the idcs are too high ill lower the boost. I doubt ill be going over 18psi for now though. I have a 255 pump.

Im not shooting for any crazy power numbers guys. I most likely wont be going above 17 or 18 psi.
Oh and northend trooper, the hx40 is the one that flows closer to a gt35r. The hx35 should be similar to a gt30.

I have a question though. i just test fitted the turbo and the lines that are for the stock turbo, the coolant lines, do i have to recirculate those or can i remove the lower one and plug the upper one. They are in the way.

New Pics!!!

Okay i got the turbo on. Only one problem, this is only a test fit. I had to take out the waterpipe to put new seals on it and dent the crap out of it. I didnt want to dent it while it was on the car. Tomorrow im gunna put the waterpipe back on and finish up the car and fab up a new lower ic pipe setup using a vband clamp. Its gunna be a busy day, its hard to make time when im still in highschool. Heres some more pics. Its gettin close!!!

The first pic is of me with my little bro, im teaching him what a radiator is while im puttin on a new lower radiator hose :)

Finally got it done and running. Everything went pretty smoothly. Turbo fits in there snuggly.

I got to drive it and let me tell you this thing pulls. I havnt had any chance to tune the car or turn the boost up since its raining here. Tuning in the rain is a nono. But so far at 8psi, which is what my external wastegate spring is set at, according to dsmlink the turbo was flowing 27lbs/min. Keep in mind that i have not yet had a chance to calibrate my airflow so this may be off. But damn The car pulled hard for only 8psi. I was suprised. One bad thing, my coolant temps went up so im going to have to install another fan and maybe a new radiator and get some water wetter.

If you have any questions just hit me up.

Diddo man. I'm happy to see your excitment. Also what do you mean calibrate your Airflow sensor? Aren't you rocking the stock Maf? Hurry up and get some Track times in, if this rocks out I might be snagging one in teh spring.
Oh and to fix your Radiator problem you can do two things:
1, Put fans on all times
2, Get an aftermarket Radiator.

Yeah i turned the fans on at all times right before i parked the car for the night. I will see how much it helped tomorrow. But i only have 1 fan right now because my wastegate gets in the way of one. I have a slimline fan that im going to put in soon.

And you usually, atleast i have usually had to calibrate the airflow in dsmlink to make the boost estimate in dsmlink match exactly the real boost at 5500 rpms. This makes the airflow readings dead on and helps the car run better. I also have to calibrate the airflow at low rpms to get the fuel trims down close to 0% when cruising and at different raw airflow readings.

Whats the best brand of radiator?

Oh p.s. im really diggin the quote in your sig northendtrooper, thats sick.
