If your intentions were to just out rev the hell out your motor, then you should've gone with a 2.1 destroker. Stroker motors are excellent in bottom-end torque. Strokers are not meant to see past 7500, generally anything past that leads to side loading the bores, don't get me wrong there are guys running 8500 rpms on them, but strokers = crazy linear torque. It all really comes down to piston acceleration.

Thats cool. I'm not trying to rev high at all. i just wanted more bottom-end torque and that is why I bought the stroker. The reason why I ask does it rev higher because storker motors in V8's rev and idle alot higher.

thanks guys! I hang-out with alot of guys who drive V8's and there were telling me that since the stroker kit for V8's idle and rev higher and require alot of maintainence and it would be the same for my stroker kit. I kept trying to tell those muscle heads, but now I can show them that they are not the same.!

V-8 strokers are usually very high HP n/a engines....the 2.3L dsm is still a very small engine, but is meant for FI, and should be just as reliable as any ol 4g63 as long as you get all the parts to support the HP you are aiming for with the turbo...Yes, you will have better lower end torque, but running a smaller turbo on the stroker would be a WASTE. 50 trims are too small for this engine, the real reason to get a stroker in a turbo DSM is so you can spool a bigger turbo (ones like the GT-35, etc that would be insane for most 2.0L) faster. From what I have heard, there is very little reason to go with the 2.1L motor....its just not nessecary, even for drag.
