Hey guys,

My best friend from high school was featured on the TLC network show "Overhaulin" a couple of weeks ago. If any of you saw the episode his name is David, some of you may remember him because he is in a wheelchair. "The Foose" and his team fixed up David's 1969 Pontiac GTO so that he could drive it with a hand controlled throtle/brake mechanism. He is supposed to get his car back pretty soon (even though they only take a week to fix up the car on the show, they keep it for a couple of months, to make sure everything is perfect) They told him the car is cranking out well over 400hp now. I can't wait to see him drive it again. The car used to eat M3's for breakfast and ran 12.01 on street tires at the track. Crazy huh. You never think that stuff like that happens to people you know.

I saw that episode, He seemed like a really nice guy. He wasn't even an ass when he was talking to the guys on the phone. I'm glad the renewed his car.

Thats pretty cool, that was one of the best episodes they have had for awile, just to bad there is no more courtney :( oh well at least u can catch her on powerblock on spike!

12.01 on street's with 400hp? That sounds so impossible with an old bucket. I assume it had a much more rediculous set up before?

The car has always been modded. In highschool he added a posi trac set up. I remember he ran the car at Pomona Ca, and that he put 20 bucks worth of 108 Octane at the track that day. I also remember him not taking the white marker of his rear window and the timeslip; both said 12.01. If you saw the show, you might have noticed that the car was missing the front end when it was picked up; this is because before he got into the accident which paralyzed him, he was in the process of dropping an even better engine.

That last post might have made it seem like the car had no prior engine mods; but it did. The enging he was dropping was set up for Nitrous.
