Hey welcome, I live in Springhill, I dunno if you know where that is or not but it's about an hour- an hour and a half away. Lol I think I know the car you bought!!!! Is it the lime green one with the I think Invader side skirts and rear bumper? and it has no front bumper and the interior is gutted except for the seat? Good luck lol but welcome, if you need any help I might be able to go up there sometime.

Are you gonna do a 6-bolt or 7-bolt? I am doing the exact same thing as you pretty much, I'm in the process of buying my friend's 96 GST which I am picking up right after I get back from vacation on Tuesday and it has a blown motor so I'll be doing a motor swap as well... although mine has interior and everything lol... you have your work cut out for you. Yea maybe either I could help you then you help me or vise versa. I think I am definitely doing a 6-bolt swap though because I don't wanna mess with crank walk... and as long as I have to put a new motor in why not?

Yes, I agree that green is very ricy.. what color are you thinking about? And keep checking tampa racing, someone right now is selling a full built 6-bolt on there for $1000

Lol well an eclipse is not like a honda or supra at all... you can only swap another 4g63 motor in it but the 1st gen eclipses had a motor called a 6-bolt and a 2nd den eclipse has a motor called a 7-bolt, the 7-bolt is prone to crank walk so a 6-bolt is a good idea when swapping the motor anyways. I mean I know a decent amount about this stuff since I am on here ALL the time since I already have a 99 Eclipse but I was also wondering if you were at the big Supra DSM meet in Orlando back in June since you said you know some **** about supras... I had the black Eclipse lowered on 17"s if you were there and remember...

Im not completley sure I understand why people bash carbon fiber rears....

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/95-99...QQcmdZViewItem

They arent by any mean ugly on a car that matches..

My cars dark green with a carbon hood, black rims, black projector heads, and carbon rears that im still waiting on....

As long as you keep the center peice of the rear tailights the base color of the car,and not put in the ugly ass cyclopse center altezza they give you, carbon altezzas are A.. O.. K.. with me.
