my passenger side air bag cover/skin is peeling at the edges of the top half. i would like to know if anyone has fixed this or am i s.o.l.? i really would hate to waste a perfectly good air bag. this is the only thing wrong with my interior and id like it to be perfect. its frustrating. thanks all, mike m.

Yeh mine is doing the same thing, its warped from the heat and all the cover is peeling up around the corners. But i also have no idea as far as fixing it so if anyone else has or knows that would be great.

Another what? CAR? the cover is riveted in, and it's not easy to just "buy another one"

As far as I remember, DISCONNECT BATTERY FIRST before doing anything, remove glovebox to access the mounting bolts for the airbag, unplug the old airbag, plug in and install replacement airbag, reconnect battery.

I can't recall if there were any other bolts holding in the airbag elsewhere but you should be able to see how its held in from the glovebox area rather easily.

my airbag itself is fine, I'm referring to the cover, the piece that's part of the dashboard, it's curling up at the edges and looks dumb

Yeah, we all know what you are saying. What WE are saying is the only way to get around it is to just find another airbag (on ebay usually ranging from $20-$50 depending on the week) that's the same color and not damaged. Once it lifts, its screwed.
http://search.ebay.com/eclipse-airba...cloZQQsbrsrtZd

I bought a set with module for $75 on ebay and then sold the steering wheel airbag on eBay for $35 and the module for $20.

Just so I'm clear on this... I'm having the same exact problem, and if I understand correctly, I HAVE TO REPLACE my ENTIRE airbag, not just the leather dashboard cover portion of it, because once that portion lifts up off of it's metal frame, the ENTIRE airbag is screwed up? Did I get that right?
