Several Problems.

Finally got the 16g put in, go me, but I have some problems.

1. Neither my spedometer or tachometer are reading. I'm pretty sure they're hooked in but I may be wrong. I don't even know where they hook into.

2. I'm idling at 3000 RPM. BISS screw in too far maybe?

3. I got a sunburn and it's not fun to work on my car in the sun with that burn on my back.

By ear. It may not be exactly at 3k but it's between 2.5k-3k

Buy hooked on phonics for your tach and maybe it will be more interested Lulz. But seriously how the hell did you manage to do anything to your tach? It gets signal from a wire in your transistor pack and from the ecu. How did you mess with the idle after only installing a turbo?

That's the thing guys, I didn't mess with any of that when I installed it. I figured my BISS screw is too far out for the idle but it's all the way in and stripped to hell.

My tachometer was working before and my speedometer wasn't and now neither of them are working. Could my transistor not be making a good enough contact or something? I really need some serious input here. I need my car able to drive within the week.

And yeah the whole tachometer reading thing, good joke.

Have you pulled your ecu to look and see if the caps are leaking? I find it weird with just a Turbo install all these other problems arose. Also once you do get the car running right a screwed in/stripped biss screw all the way isn't gonna work.

Trust me I know the screw needs to be replaced but I don't know if it's the screw or the IAC is out. This crazy idle was happening before the new turbo too, but it doesn't effect my driving. I drove it a little last night and it did fine.

Well, I took off the connector to the ISC and started it up, then put it back in. There was no change at all. Should I just replace the motor or the whole thing?

BTW my tach works again. There was a wiring harness disconnected by the ECU.

Good thing you checked that ecu When you say disconnect are you talking 1 pin (the tach signal wire was out) or the whole plug the tach wire is located in?
