Need a description for this pic.

Bought a TSI Talon. Have had problems since day one. Bogs down at the beginning then boom takes off. Has had a motor swap but came with original motor.

First the original motor had a sensor on top the intake but on the new motor it did not have a spot for it. The original intake does so I decided to do a swap.

Find out that the installed intake does not have a spot for an EGR valve. Started checking the entire EGR circuit and have found out that I am missing two "vacuum solenoids" circled below...

*This is not my motor*

I have been doing searches online to replace these two solenoids and get the mounting bracket that they are on but have no luck.

Any idea who would have them or what they are called besides a vacuum solenoid?

Thanks in advance.

JB.

My apologies. I went to the vfaq but not the shaw one before posting.

It doesn't sound like they are too important especially since there are not emission restrictions in IN.

Thanks,
JB.

you should be recirculating your blow off valve unless you have MAF translator or similar, that could definately cause bogging.

yes of course he should. Except up there in small ^ it says that the pic isn't his motor.

BTW: Those solenoids aren't important, I think you just need to leave them plugged in so you don't get CEL. You can remove the emissions crap then.

I think that may be causing part of my bog down problem. No EGR and those solenoids I do not have but am searching for those two and the bracket right now...

Well after a week of searching online, pm'ing part out people and at going to dealerships I have found out that I cannot get those solenoids anymore as they have been discontinued.

Since I cannot get the complete EGR circuit to work would blocking off the EGR valve completely be better? Just at a loss of what to do before I put everything back together...

Thanks,
JB.
