Main seal?

I was short on time and went to jiffy lube to get an oil change. It was my first time ever going somewhere to get an oil change. A week after my oil light started coming on randomly. That happened for about 2 days and then it stoped. I checked my oil and it was still full. Now, 2 weeks later the light is back at it and I am now leaking oil. I've only had the car for about 4 months now and before the oil change I had no problems so I was convinced they messed something up.

I went back to jiffy lube today and a guy took a look at my car. He said that it was probably either the main seal between my transmission and my engine or my oil sending unit. He said I should take it to a full service shop to get it looked at again because they can clean the underneath of my car and get a better look.

I guess i'm just wondering who else has had this problem and how much did it cost to get it repaired? If you did it yourself what all did you need/use?

Try to find out where it is leaking...

If its the rear main seal, you are going to have to drop the tranny to replace it. Not easy if you aren't mechanically inclined.
