compression test

anyone know what my compression should be across the board with my 97 gst convertalbe gonna do one and im not sure what the reading should be..
any info would help thanks

thanks man i hope this works im spitting blueish white smoke out the exhaust only when i idle or lay into the car and idle it hast to idle for at least 5 mins or so till i really start to see the smoke, in all reality im hopeing its the turbo seal gone witch i think it is cause when i took off my filter tube connecting to the turbo the was a slight film of oil insid the tube...

Clean out all your intercooler pipes and intercooler itself. Then get a catch can or an inline fuel filter for the valve cover breather.

Could be multiple things, but these are very easy things to do that can only help.

Did the turbo have any shaft play? How many miles are on it?

What were the results of your compression test?

very minimal shaft play has about 103000 miles on it and i havent doen the compression test yet still need to get one

well i pulled the plus today and there was no oil on the ends i do need a valve cover gasket kit but other then that my plug electrodes were white on the ends so im, wondering to if im running to hot..any info lt me know thanks
