Maintenance

Hey guys, I just finished up the exterior paint on my car and I'll be finishing up the interior tomorrow. So my next order of buisness before the eclipse becomes my DD is Maintenance.

The car has anywhere between 98k and 120k (title says 120 and odometer says 98)

I DOUBT the previous owner put much love into this car. So I want to do the timing belt. What do I need here? I was also thinking the spark plugs and wires. I'm not going for performance here, I just need reliability and affordability.

Is there something else I should check out or replace?

While your in there do the Tensioner, the Tensioner pulley, the idler pulley, water pump and any cam seals that leak or maybe the front seal if it is leaking if any one of those above fail it will ruin the timing belt and could cost you way more down the road. Check ebay they have some good vendors that offer those components (brand new) for our cars for a third of what the dealer wants.

Definately get new idler/tensioner pullies, tensioner, cam/crank seals. Do the head gasket while you're at it.

I've heard I'll need to deck the head it I pull it....Is this true?

also is this everything I need for the timing belt?
eBay Motors: 95+ Eclipse Eagle Talon 2.0 420A Timing Belt Water Pump (item 220252814790 end time Jul-12-08 10:41:57 PDT)

I see two pullies but is it missing the tensioner?

Another question, My uncle is a mechanic and he will help me if I need it but he's very busy and I'd prefer not to waste his time. Should I get professional help for this job? I've read the guide for this on 2gnt about 3 times now.

Spark plugs - I found a set of NGK's for 17 bucks
and I found OBX 10.3mm wires for $50 is this good or should I make a run to autozone?
