Car Sponsors

Has anyone heard of or are currently with carsponsors.com, they are an agency that can get you hooked up with manufactures to get you free parts. I got a call from them after filling out an online app. and they say I just pay them an agency fee and they can get me sponsors to provide me with free parts.

If it was only that easy...

If you search you can find threads about them, mostly about how they are a ripoff. I dont have any expeirience myself, but if you have extra money to throw around, go ahead and try it.

Ripoff. You only get "discounts" through their companies they are affiliated with and most of the time they are the same price, if not MORE EXPENSIVE, than if you searched around.

Do some searching on google like Rad stated, you will find some good info about people who have done it before.

I am part of the Team-SCP1 sponsorship program and it;s pretty much a big ripoff. Only reason I am even in it is because they offered me free sponsorship....

Why would you have to pay them to sponsor you?

It's not really them sponsoring you, basically they are like an "agent". You pay them a fee and they find sponsors for you.

carsponsorships.com is a lot better I heard. a couple of my friends have a few sponsorships through them and the sponsors usually either give you a HUGE discount or send you some parts for free

Sounds shady, why would they give you free stuff? How much do you have to pay for them to give you "free" stuff?

Usually if your car has never been in any shows, or in magazines it is very hard to get a sponsor. In this world, nobody is going to just give you free stuff. If they give you something, they need to know that it may actually advertise their product and bring in more customers. They are not just going to give you free stuff because you have a nice car. I have a few partial sponsorships, and they are not easy to get. Before I got offered anything, my car was won a local car show, was featured in a newspaper, and featured in 3 magazines. They want to know that a lot of people are going to see their product in your car, not just give you something so you can enjoy it.
