Power Windows

Several days ago the switches controlling my power windows started working only periodically. At first but would then work after another try so didn't worry very much. But, 2 days ago, they completely stopped working. The interesting thing is that neither the button on the passenger side, nor the buttons on the driver side works which rules out the switches. The fuse has been checked and it is not the source of the issue either. I'm at a total loss as to what could cause both switches to cease function at the same time. Your suggestions and advice would be much appreciated as electric problems give me nightmares.

All connections (wiring harnesses and plugs) are secure? I'd start there...

Sounds like the lock relay went, I have a similair problem in my Olds Alero, both sides unlock, but neither sides unlock, and the Unlock relay was fried.

Would the lock relay affect the windows? If so, that's interesting because my power locks havn't worked since I purchased the car.
