Arrow Need Info.. help..

Alright, so I'm new to the forums and I've been looking at a 98' or 99' GSX. I really want the GSX because of the AWD and because of the turbo. Also because I am looking to mod the car and I am under the impression there is a lot I could do with it. I talked to my friends stepdad that is driving a 02' GTI and he says that he had a 90' Eclipse w/ the turbo and that I shouldnt get one because of one, the ride is shi**y he says and that whenever you need engine work done, that everything is under the engine so they have to pull the whole engine out to like change the oil. Is that true?
