A Couple A/F Gauge Questions (yes I searched)
Well, after getting my A/F Gauge, and reading through the 6 pages of search results, I still have a couple questions on install.
My gauge has 4 wires, green for O2 sensor signal, red for power, black for ground, and orange for who knows. My understanding is that it only needs the three wires to work. So any ideas on what the other one is for?
Which wire is my signal wire? I have a 97 RS, with 4 wires coming off the sensor. And where is the best place to splice in to it? I have heard and read on VFAQ.com about doing it in the cab, but the site seems more suited for first generations and didn't help me much. Once I locate the signal wire should I just cut it and solder in the gauge wire? Whatever, please let me know.
I believe that is it. I found pretty much my questions when I searched, but it was for a GST, and I figured there would be differences, so if someone could please help me out, that would be cool. Thank you.
