ok so i was looking at FMU today, and seen alot of diffrent kinds. my question would be what FMU do i need 8:1, 10:1, 12:1 , ect. ???? I am running a 255 walbro, and a AFC2, i plan to go with a set of 720 injectors, and ditch the AFC2 and replace it with a DSM link, can someone explain what type of FMU i would need and why. My Horsepower goal is 400 + , so hopefully that will help. I am only running a 16g , but plan to drop in a 57 trim. well let me know guys/girls. Thanks.

Do you mean fuel pressure regulator? We usually opt for an adjustable one so we can get that 255 flowing the right amount without flooding the motor with too much fuel. Look for an aeromotive FPR, top notch quality. We dont use the FMUs because then our fuel curve is always linear which we do not want depending on the situation

You need a 12:1 with stock injectors on a 420a... go to Vortech's website and you can figure it out on there based on your injectors but stock injectors on 420a = 12:1

the FMU would be for a 95 eclipse GST (4g63T) 5spd. , i need a Fuel pressure regulator/FMU , becuase my fuel pump (walbro 255) wont be working 100% , and i just want one so when i go take my car to the shop, they will be able to tune it alot better. So are you saying i cannot use a FMU ? I was looking at a Vortech, but since i am not a 420a i should use a FPR instead of a FMU ? And if you use a FMU what type should i get, if you have you have a AFC2 and a walbro 255 fuel pump ? i want to build this car for 400 + hp, i eventually i want to run 680-720 injectors, i know this will be pushing my AFC2 . I feel like when this happens, hopefully, get myself a DSMLINK . This would be great, but its in the works. Well i hope this helps you , so i hope this helps you answer my question. thanks. - chris

Who the hell siad it wont be working 100% the pump will be fine but you can't maximize your tune. The FMU is USELESS for our cars. Get a AFPR set the psi to 38psi and you will be fine. You have no use for a FMU you need a 1:1 AFPR. Your car knows already there will be boost so it already works with it.
AFPR will help big time.
