Aem Ems

So I might be taking the plunge and picking up a AEM EMS, Im still working with beyond redline right now on an engine map out and we are going to end up putting that tuning software in the car and I finally decided to go with a turbo after talking with them, we are going to go with

TurboByGarrett.com - Catalog

So if anyone wants to pick up my hybrid its good for 650 horse, it has a garret compresor housing, and Precision T&E exhaust housing, with a stainless steel O2 housing, nice tight shaft no play, only has 3000 miles on it and max boost that was run on it was only 10 psi. Let me know guys, but yeah im way stoked about the new set up.

Is the car a daily driver or a race car?

You will see more "race cars" with the EMS, and more DD's running dsmlink.

When someone tunes the EMS you have to start from scratch and the tune might change a little for different weather condition. (summer to winter)

But one of my bud's swears by EMS, although I haven't personally ever used it.

Ive heard it is a PITA to tune. But im sure if your having a shop tune the car you will be fine.

Ive seen some shops charge as much as 700 bucks for an aem ems tune.

O yeah i know ive heard the same things it takes a long time to tune it but, pretty much im just dropping the car off and letting them do everything then im just getting a bill lol, o well at least the tune will be amazing. That is all that shop swears by to tune there cars, its kind of a shop car now its there build im giving them the eclipse with no interior, taking the hood and bumper off cause the whole car was just painted, and nothing in the engine bay. So it will be really easy for them to get everything going.

DSMLink FTW when V3 comes out there will be no reason why everyone should not be running it. Very detailed. On of my buddies is a Beta tester for the 1gs.

By the time that comes out ^, I'll be going to AEM as well good luck with it why not learn how to tune it yourself so you don't have to keep paying someone? What setup is it going on?
