FCD tuning..help

hey 420a turbo Guys... well i have the treadstone perfromance FCD.. and the tuning with it doesnt work for me the multimeter didnt work out... what is everyone running to make their car idle right not want to die when its first started... and not cut out at 4500 rpm.... cause mine does all that.. i relocated the fcd to inside the car so i can turn the screw a lil bit so i can go up to w/e rpms i want but then it jerks at slight throttle, and wants to die at idle..
........Any help thanks.. btw i think my map sensor is shot.

The tuning screws are VERY touchy on those FCDs so it would be easier for the initial setup to have the FCD in the bay near the intake manifold/map sensor. You NEED a multimeter to tune them, you can not just tune it by listening. The voltages must be correct or else it won't run right. Make sure the car is off and the map sensor is pulled out of the intake manifold. Read the voltage and it should be around 4.5v with the car off. If not, you need to tune the FCD up until it reads that. Then when it does read about 4.5, blow into the map sensor itself to create some "boost". The voltages will probably want to jump up past the inital 4.5v so tune the FCD when making "boost" to around 4.6-4.65v. Stop blowing into it and make sure it reads back to the 4.5v like it did before. If you do all this, it should work fine.
