ok to drive around with Feul Pressure Solenoid bad?

So my engine light came on, and I brought it to cheekers for them to scan. And got a P1105 error code. From the diagnostic manual I found online it says its the Feul Pressure Solenoid. The previous owner said he put in a walbro 255 fuel pump, but no fuel pressure regulator. Could that be the problem? Or do I just need to replace the Fuel P solenoid?

Thats a common problem and the car will still run fine.

You should defiantly pick up an afpr though.

How do you get the CEL to perm turn off for that problem? I unplugged the batt and it went away for a while but just came back on later.

I never got the message again... It's only there for cold starts to keep fuel pressure at base 43 psi, instead of letting engine vacuum pull the FPR down like normal.

.
found this within 30 seconds of searching.
