Props!
Man, I haven't really been paying attention to what has been going on, but today I've had some free time to investigate all these new changes to T2G and even check out dsmp... all I have to say is Rob, you are handling your business man. I have seen more changes and more organization and passion for this site to change and move forward in the last couple hours (which happened over the last week or so) than I have since I've become a member (in Mar 2006!) I believe you when you say, "all these ideas have been talked about just never implemented) so I say just ignore AE and his attacks on you and I just want to encourage you to keep focused on what you're doing with this site. Maybe with all of those mods gone and a fresh set of mods, this place can finally be what it's name says: a team/community of people who have love for the DSM family of vehicles, the 1995-1999 talon/eclipse in particular. Stock, rimmed, dropped, painted, kitted, all show, all go, sleeper, whatever the case may be, we are all here because we fell in love with the same group of cars. Some will have opinions about others', and that's fine, but the whole bashing/negative vibe that has been here, I'm hoping has left with the people who left to dsmp. Not that I'm knocking them over there, but they are exactly who they are, the group of people who love sleepers and stock dsm's. Great! Let them have their world where the only difference in their cars are the turbo set ups and rims, and transform this site into a community of people who love the DSM period!
Disclaimer: Although I am one for individuality, there are ways to completely destroy the look and function of a DSM, I am in no way encouraging sloppy, half-a**ed, bootlegged and/or drunken displays of a "modded" DSM. I encourage all to mod in good tase! But at the sametime, I won't bash you for whatever you do - to each his own!
PS - Rob, I'm on here quite often as of right now and will continue to be until this shop deal goes through. So if you need help with anything, hit me up. My area is body and paint, so, just let me know.

My love for the DSM and its communities rise above the petty bickering and the bullshit agendas that forum sites share. I personally do not care about which forum I "belong" to. I belong to a lot of forums. I'm on Talk, Tuners, here, AND DSMp. The way I see it (and it seems like a lot of others share my position), we're all in this together. We all came together because we love the 2G DSM. As long as we have that in common amongst all members in all forums, I sincerely believe that we all can exist in harmony.
With that said, I will always prefer T2G above all others because this is home. This is where I started my DSM love. No matter where you go, you gotta remember your home. In that vision, I support and salut Rob and his efforts. I, too, do not want to see this place go down the toilet.
I also have the respect for DSMP. I don't see DSMP as a separation: I see it as a growth. DSMP is newly developed, yet another resource of information of DSMs. Like a big, healthy tree, I think we have our choices of branches we can attach to and grow on. DSMP, to me, is another young branch which will grow healthily and abundantly.
But at the end of the day, at the root of the tree, is our collective love and passion for the DSM. As long as all of us can maintain that idea at the helm of our ventures, I think we'll all be just fine.
Let me know if there's anything I can do to be a help, Rob. I'll do everything I can to help my home.

+1. I agree with both of these guys. This has never been about who has the biggest E-penis. Since day 1, for all of us, it has been about our cars, and love for them. I'm on talk, tuners, t2g, 4g63hp, and Dsmp. To me, if your taste runs to sleepers, great, happy for you. Mine runs a little more to the unconventional, but that's me.
All of these sites have something that is good for the members. I spend a good portion of my day at work searching and digging through 55416541216 old threads, just looking for the one piece on information that will help me either fix something, or give me the idea I need to customize something.
Anyway, to get back on topic: I agree that it was time for a change of pace around here. Hopefully it will be a change for the best. Again, good job on taking the initiative to get this site back on track, Rob & Rob!

I have been gone for a while now because I'm been mainly focused on DSMp. I do like the changes I have seen here on T2G and it's made me want to keep coming back and back. Thanks Rob.
