Custom Interior Project

Started a week ago. I try to spend an hour or so a day trying to get something done on the interior. I have never done a whole interior but I've been working for the last 2 month at my Father's shop and he has 29 years of experience to help teach me. 12 hour day 6 days a week for 2 months has got me really confident in my ability so I'll see what I can do.

Before was a boring cloth gray interior, and although not terrible, just wasn't up to par for me. So this will just be a log to track my progress.

Here is the car. Just your average 5 speed nonturbo 2g eclipse

I didn't take any before pictures, but you will see the progress nonetheless.

I started out by gutting the entire back hatch of all the plastic parts and really getting elbow grease in there...

I used Jute and Carpet on the inside plastic parts to help insulate and absorb any outside noise

I plan on adding a wooden floor with a hidden sub and have the back hatch cover in full leather.

I honestly don't like to have huge plastic peices so I decided on wrapping as much as I could in Black Ultra-Leather. An example would be the Hatch trim peices pictured below.
