First of all it took me forever to upload the pictures for this mostly due to lazyness, but I made sure they were BIG so no one would complain. Here we go.
Start off by gathering the parts you will need. Go to your local Home Depot or Lowes and an auto parts store like autozone.
Pick up the following items
-9 ft roll of garage door bottom seal (Item # 39234 at lowes) $8.96
-2 packs of 3m 7/8"X60" super strength molding tape $10.99 each
-1 pack of self tapping screws $3
Total cost=$33.94
You'll need basic tools and a jack if you plan to remove your bumper like i did.
Step 1:
I decided to remove the bumper so i wouldn't be laying down the whole time.
Car with bumper on
Car with bumper off
Step 2:
I measured out the amount of garage door bottom i needed by running it along the bottom of the bumper.
Step 3:
I then trimmed and started to apply the moulding tape to the garage door bottom. I made the mistake of only buying 1 roll of moulding tape so i decided to cut it into 1 foot sections to place along the garage door bottom (if you bought 2 packs it will be easier to do.
If you don't know what side to put the tape on, here's a pic ;] (i put the tape on the part my index finger is pointing/holding)
Step 4:
After you do this peel off the red part of the tape and place it along the edge of your bumper. If your concerned about it falling off use self tapping screws for extra security. (sorry no picture of this)
Step 5:
Reinstall bumper and look back at your new lip.
Conclusion:
I've been driving with this for a bout a week or so and i must say i really do dig it, and with the screws there is no sign of sagging at all. If your ever bored at home with nothing to do and have an extra $35 in your pocket i would suggest doing this body mod.
