I forgot to mention. Be careful with using that light. If a cop really wanted to they could get you for "impersonating a police officer". And that would be a felony....something you really don't want.

No problem, wouldn't want a fellow DSMer in the pen getting slammed like a screen door in a hurricane. Any progress yet on the KITT light?

Ok what you need to do is Figure out where tou want to put the light and cut the hole. I'm not sure how deep the light is but you may need to cut through the metal support bracket as well if you're doing this where I think you're doing it.

I would then make some MDF supports to hold the light where you want it and use screws or something to secure the light.

When it's secured you need to fiberglass back over the hole and clean it up until you get a snug fit.

Then bondo/primer/paint.

I going to put it right where your silver triple diamonds are on your signature. The light is very thin and wieghs about a little over nothing. I was thinking of molding the box, with the back, then just screwing the light in place on the back of the box (reinforced of course). Then take a piece of plexiglass, tint it then put it over the light. What do you think?

We already had a discussion about this, stop criticizing him. If you have no help to offer then don't post.

OP: to each his own, if it is something that you want to do then more power to you. Just make sure you do it right. If you do lexan over it you better make sure that it is sealed very well or it will have a shit ton of condensation and look like crap.
