Some Slow Eclipse

My carbon fiber hood

So my cf hood is fading and like peeling. It makes me sad. So i figured i'd just sand it down and paint it. But i like the look of cf so.. what do you guys think i should do?

After seeing it in person, just sand down the corners that are fading and do a spraypaint clear-coat. I'm in to help if you need it.

That or just ditch the CF all together, and paint it. Although that would involve replacing like 90% of your interior. And a couple of cans of Goo-B-Gone to remove all the sticky stuff your CF stickers will leave behind.

You do not want to spot paint with clear coat. Especially if you want it to turn out nicely. Either clear the whole hood or don't mess with it.

If the peeling isn't too bad, just hit it with some 600grit, then lay down a few coats of clear (letting it dry good between coats) then you can wet sand it with some 2000grit, or just buff it up real nice with some buffing compound and a powerball...
