Paint..
I know the answer is going to be different on where you go and where you live, but I was just wondering what I could expect to get my entire car repainted another color?

It all depends on the quality that you want. Are you planning to pull the engine out and paint the engine bay too? door jams, etc. When I painted my car a new color I paid about $1,600.

I got my car painted a new color with door jams but no engine bay for a little over $1000. It was local and I got a good deal though. I think normally for a good paint job it is around $2000 and on up maybe...

Even if you paint it yourself it'll be expensive. You pay the most for prep work though. So if you can get your car to primer and bring the car mostly masked off you'll get a better deal.

$5000 in WA but that was because everything on my car was molded and they would have had to do a shit load of work. Also my paint is virtually unmatchable

Um, Mko.... I know you are new to these here parts, but not only do you have a crap ton over over spray (meaning there is paint on the glass, and on the interior as well). Proffessional shops will quite literally tear the car down, and even go as far as removing the interior to make sure they get the best, sharpest lines that they can without ANY visible overspray.
The main reason you pay out the ass for a FULL paint job is because they have to remove most of the interior components to get to the jams, engine bay, trunk...etc etc.
Don't trust any one who says they will repaint your car for anything less then 2 grand, and that the car will be done in anything under a week. To do the job properly it takes time and a considerable amount of money.
Mko...please....you have already ruined the car by putting what looks to be a horrible makeshift spoiler on it. Don't waste the 2gb front facisa as well. Sell it, and perhaps get something that would better suit your galant ( I personally hate body kits, as they look tacky, and almost always never fit properly).

I might be new to this forum, but not to DSM
Did you see how much i spent on it? $150 and you see the results- a little overspray on the windshield doesnt hurt. Took me a week just to spray, and another two weeks for the prep work and as i said Im pretty happy with it. It couldve been better if I had a garage, but oh well, maybe the next time.
I dont like this spoiler either because its EVo 8 replica, but I have the Evo 9 stock spoiler in my closet waiting to be painted and put on. Yes, I love the makeshift! There are 3 body kits available for my car and they all look shitty, and expensive as hell, so I went with the 2gb conversion, and I think the 2gb bumper is a masterpiece itself.

Lol no the original paint job was $7500
$5000 was to repair it. Basically the front and back bumpers were screwed, the drivers side skirt was screwed, and both fenders were screwed. The shop wanted to buy a whole new kit and re-mold everything.
I've spent the last few months repairing what I could. All I have left is fixing a bit of stuff in the jams. The front bumper was also de-molded and converted back to 2gb.
While I saved a ton of money going this route (i'll probably have $400 invested) I must admit I do not want to do this much body work again.
Spraying is the easy part. Body work is a bitch.
